NEW BUSINESS:

  1. MOTION--Carolyn Bosch-Madame President, I move that the Oregon Federation of Square and Round Dance Clubs discontinue square dancing at the Oregon State Fair effective immediately. Discussion: The State Fair has notified Fran Bunch that this year we will only be allowed to dance evenings. We are not being given any afternoon or weekend time slots. Also, although we would be dancing in the same location as the past few years, the State Fair is changing the displays surrounding that area. Those displays close at 7 p.m. so we would have little or no foot traffic in the area. With this change in the available times to dance and the knowledge that only a few clubs in the Mid-Willamette Area are interested in dancing at the State Fair, I urge support of the motion.
