NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Motion by Kay Rogers

Mr. President, I move that we authorize spending $100 each for 3 youth dances, sponsored by the councils.

    Comments:
The 3 council dances will be multi-council dances taking place in different areas of the state. The first dance has been scheduled for November 6th. It is co-sponsored by the Tualatin Valley Council; the Portland Area Council and the Evergreen Council from Washington. The second dance will be on March 5th is being chaired by Leonard Snodgrass for the Mid Willamette Council. Correspondence has been sent to Emerald Empire and the Southwestern councils asking if they would like to participate. The third dance would hopefully be in the central/western part of the state during the summer. The money will come from the Youth Fund.
  2. Motion by Kay Rogers

Mr. President, I move that we authorize spending $100 to help offset Mid-Winter’s youth activities expenses.

    Comments:
Mid-Winter is planning on a pizza party and youth dance at Cidicci’s Pizza in the old Albany Electric Station. They have requested funds to help pay for the youth activities. This activity will benefit the attending youth from all over the state. The money will come from the youth fund.
