CoronavirusThe rapid spread of the coronavirus and the Covid-19 disease have caused dramatic changes in our daily routines. The square dance commnunity is particularly problematic, because our activity necessarily involves personal contact, and because we are demographically older and therefore more susceptible to the infection. Many clubs and square dance organizations have decided to cancel their events for a while. We will try to list the ones we know about here. Please send any additional cancellation notices to timr@probo.com to be listed here. In most cases, dancing will fall under the state's guidelines for "gyms", and that means no bodily contact between members of different households until we get into Phase 3, which doesn't happen until there is a vaccine. Based on that, it is unlikely that any Oregon clubs will hold normal square dances for the remainder of 2020.
